York Design Week

This is my first ever blog post I’ve ever done, and what better way to start than about the York Design Week 2021! Over the weekend, I took a trip up to York to attend the York Design Week. During the event, I attended the ‘Art is my Career Talks’ at the city’s St John’s University on Sunday 24th October to hear the experiences of Elena Skoreyko Wagner throughout her career as an illustrator, providing really valuable information I can build up from for the future.

The following day on Monday 25th (my Birthday), I attended Art is my Career’s Not a Careers Fair, where thanks to Mrs Laura Sanderson, who was at the talks on Sunday, I was introduced to Illustrators Richard Corrigon and Leah Pendleton and Creative Designer Craig Bently. All of whom gave me some really good tips on how to move forward. Thank you so much for having me at the York Design Events, and thank as well Leah for letting me draw the capitcal ‘B’ on the you blackboard table.
