Vaccinationism is a term coined by MP Sir Desmond Swayne in December 2020 at the House of Commons to address the discrimination against people who choose not to take the vaccine in order to work or attend events during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

This is a painting depicting the MP at the moment he coined Vaccinationism. It was done by myself in collaboration with another artist, George Cox, for Lawyers Arts Club in the summer, 2021.

I sketched the scene out in pencil and pen for George to reference for painting the colours on a wooden board. I outlined the painting in detail using posca pens before George finished it off with a coat of varnish.

It has been on exhibition at the Digbeth Art Space in September 2021, and have made a visit upon invitation to Houses of Parliament, where I unveiled to Sir Desmond Swayne himself on the 12th May 2022 with Lawyers Arts Club in attendance.
